Sandra Kelch’s work explores the beauty of pattern and repetition to create original, unique and abstract works on paper. Her graphic design training and background directly informs her prints; utilizing geometric form, color palettes, tonal contrast and modern compositional elements.
Her work displays a strong emphasis on experimenting with process, and pushing the boundaries of what is possible with different printmaking mediums and materials. She experiments with creating new mark-making techniques and impressions with unexpected materials.
Sandra Kelch’s art education has been from The Cooper Union School of Art (BFA) and the Cranbrook Academy of Art (MFA), however her training in Printmaking has been from CCA and the Kala Art Institute.
